The goal of the foundation to promote understanding, equality and diversity in international relations through the development and support of better practice models of leadership worldwide, especially in developing countries.Policy plan 2024:
The foundation aims to realise its goal by supporting, educating and coaching current as well as young and future leaders, especially those from developing countries. The foundation will support financially those people who have the potential to positively influence and change the leadership style in their organisations or countries. For this, the foundation aims to raise funds. The foundation can grant bursaries to those who are financially unable to follow professional management programmes or leadership courses – payable to the bursary in person or directly to the institution providing the course. The financial support will enable the grantees to participate in experiential programmes that provide a unique learning opportunity for participants to consider and explore the inner workings of management and leadership of teams, understanding of organisations as a whole, dynamics of competition and collaboration, understanding hierarchy and self-reliance, and choice of the ‘self’ one wishes to be in and beyond work. The programmes follow the methods developed by the internationally respected Organisational Development consultant and psychotherapist Elisabeth Henderson. Her vision is of healthy leadership based on a strengthened understanding of self and of one’s place in the community of the organisation. The aims for 2024 are to:
